If Mooth is one of the best-kept secrets of the province, it’s because they are the answer to an
enigma. Elusive and evasive, their live performances are a rare and revealing occasion of singular
assertiveness. Noise rock, math, and post-hardcore are the frequencies of this device, but to
whom do these labels speak? In their sound are contained the ranks of angular repetitions of
poplars along the banks, the lots of silence and fog, the metallic reflection of the rice paddies.

In this second episode, Mooth delivers a blend of their heavy pre-hiatus sound and their new,
more essential post-punk attitude. The mix results in a raw and heavy sonic attack that doesn’t
give up on complex structures, odd timings, and mood twists. While continuing the discourse
started with Leaden, Drizzle adds some spice, revealing a gloomier side of the band’s work.
