Con sette album alle spalle, una carriera quasi ventennale e milioni di album venduti in tutto il mondo, i Turin Brakes non hanno mai sbagliato un colpo, con singoli ai vertici delle charts in tutto il mondo. “Lost Property”, l’ultimo lavoro di studio pubblicato nel 2016, ha avuto ben 3 singoli in alta rotazione ed un tour mondiale durato 18 mesi, al termine del quale la band (Olly Knights, Gale Paridjanian, Rob Allum e Eddie Myer), insieme al co-produttore Ali Staton, si è ritrovata ai Rockfield Studios in Galles (lo studio dove i Queen registrarono “Bohemian Rhapsody”) per cominciare a scrivere nuovi brani e l’ispirazione è stata decisamente immediata!

Olly Knights afferma ‘‘the idea of an invisible storm came to me as a theme during the end of writing the album, I’ve always loved the quote “everyone you meet is fighting their own war, so be kind”. Il disco cerca di tracciare una linea tra i conflitti interiori e tutto quello che succede all’esterno. “This album tries to trace a line between these tense internal struggles and what’s happening outside of ourselves. Perhaps even suggesting a link between the invisible storms of our inner worlds and the outer tensions and social and political storms that seem to be sweeping the world these days.” conclude Olly.
