Italian alternative metal act HOLLOW SKIES is glad to announce the release of the new self-titled single, produced by Lorenzo Accattoli (Stain The Canvas) with Federico Ascari at mastering.

A first step that highlights the path the band wants to take: “’Hollow Skies’ addresses the dangers and side effects of anxiety. The constant striving for self-improvement in an attempt to achieve unattainable goals is driving us to the brink of madness. We must learn to halt this cycle by setting boundaries with ourselves, in order to protect ourselves from the disappointment caused by unrealistic expectations. Although anxiety, at least in my experience, will never fully dissipate, we must learn to coexist with it. It is essential to develop the ability to discern when our rational mind is speaking, and when we are being overwhelmed by our deepest and most intrusive thoughts. In the first verse, Mattia finds himself lost in his thoughts, descending into madness as he desperately seeks a place where the relentless emotions he perceives as demons can finally be silenced. Yet, his efforts prove in vain. In the cathartic chorus, Camilla introduces a tone of resolution: regardless of how disappointing the outcome may be, one must strive to draw a firm, unbreachable line between reality and paranoia. In the second verse, the demons are exorcised through a form of self-mockery, as the realization sets in that we ourselves are those demons. We possess those demons, and the solution can only be found in the depths of our own determination and will. Accepting our flaws and learning to coexist with the darker aspects of our being is what it means to live; denying them, however, leads only to torment.
