With the arrival of the pandemic, 2020 turned into a chaotic year. With him, many people were imprisoned in their homes. This situation made Rodrigo (from the Stoner/ Punk band TIGERSHARKS) take an old idea, the band SNOW. The band is a solo-project that he always wanted to put together, a project more focused on the Heavy, with strong influences from Hardcore Punk and Stoner.


The band has slow and thick sounds, as well as fast and heavy, and influences fromnames like The Shrine, Revolution Mother and Black Flag, making it the perfect soundtrack for a skateboarding ride, smoking or driving a Cadillac at high speed. The album was produced by Rodrigo and Andrez Machado (long time friend and owner ofthe Red Garage studio in Porto Alegre / RS and also participating in the last three releases of the band TIGERSHARKS, the singles Smoking Kills and Born Lost, and on EPLINGER ). The band’s first album was recorded remotely, with Rod recording guitars,vocals, and drums as well, while Andrez recorded other guitarlines and mixed /mastered the material. In addition to the two, the album also featured bassist Rodrigo Borba in the low frequencies. The first single, “Skate Fast Die Hard”, is the perfect music for a skate ride or aheadbangin. The sound is Stoner Rock, Crossover and the purest Rock’n roll. Transiting between the energy chaos at 200km / h and the dense drag, the song is born that isthe first single from SNOW and that is part of their debut album that will be releasedin 2021 by Red Garage Records. On the 18th, their released their new song “Escape From Brasil”, the second single from the album “Fast and Heavy, Loud and Slow” that will arrive in 2021. The song “Escape from Brasil” portrays an allusion to the dystopia presented by the movie “Escape from NewYork” by John Carpenter, but in a context unfortunately closer and more immediate to our reality, with denialism and ignorance preceding the reason for government and people. Musically, the song focuses ondense, dark, serious and urgent riffs, with Rodrigo’s voice accompanying and creatingan atmosphere of insecurity and tension, packed by a slow and somber Stoner sound, combined with elements of Metal and dissonance. The art of the single “Skate Fast Die Hard”, as well as “Escape From Brasil” and all theothers related to the project, are the work of Rodrigo Neves himself, and the debut album is scheduled for release on January 20, 2021
