DIPLOMATICS had clear ideas for their third studio album: looking for a wave and punk-funk evolution, without losing their DNA. The sound recalls contemporary bands such as Amyl & The Sniffers, Parquet Courts, Viagra Boys. While the counterpoint is provided by three soul-funk songs, inspired by iconic bands The Rolling Stones, The Who and The Stone Roses.

Diplomatics is an Italian band, formed in 2013. Its sound echoes the New York of the 70s: a mix of punk, wave and funk, played with cool attitude and high energy. Diplomatics deliver rare, powerful and modern rock’n’roll, inspired by bands such as The Rolling Stones, Velvet Underground, The Clash, The Saints, Devo, Gang Of Four, Wire, Talking Heads, The Stone Roses. In early 2022, the band recorded their third full length at Il Baito, a recording studio in the woods, getting good vibes from that inspiring environment. The work is entitled Is It Time To Fly? and is due for release on Go Down Records in mid-December 22
