Due to the fact that May 1 in 2017 is a monday and day off in many countries, we have a small change of the festival dates. The Desertfest Berlin 2017 new days are a Friday 28th, Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th of April, which will surely be better and easier for many of you guys in regards of working shedules/vacations.

This year, we also decided to expand our festival area to all of RAW: that means the wonderful area where our main venue Astra is located. We are stoked to have two more venues with us on board: Cassiopeia and Badehaus Berlin! Within a 3-minute walking distance from Astra, these venues will host more events (concerts and parties) curated by underground labels and promoters.

Desertfest Berlin 2017 will feature more than 40 bands in total!!

Due to the high demand we decided to release a VERY LIMITED amount of daytickets… They will be on sale from FRIDAY 3rd at NOON on www.desertfest.de/tickets-desertfest-berlin. Make sure to get yours asap, they will sell fast!!

Wolves In The Throne Room (USA)
Since their inception, Wolves In The Throne Room have continually pushed the boundaries of metal, both musically and philosophically. While other bands may have followed their lead, their idiosyncratic take on the genre feels unique, expansive and connected to the primal forces of their native Pacific Northwest.

Death Alley (NL)
Tee Pee Records’ punked-out, proto-metal energetic outlaws Death Alley plays rip roarin’ music that delivers a kick ass new take on an old school RAWK, mashing Motörhead and Black Sabbath to create a blistering, raw sound. Having released their debut “Black Magick Boogieland” in May 2015 to critical aclaim, Amsterdam destroyers delivers live relentless energy and maximum attitude!

Ruby the Hatchet (USA)
Philadelphia’s Ruby the Hatchet has been rocking for a few years now, peddling killer riffs and a a swinging, spooky sound. Released on Tee Pee Records in 2015, they second full-length “Valley of the Snake” looks back to ’70s acid rock stylistically via a few choice modern influences. Their fuzz-heavy tunes, creepy atmospherics, and the alluring pipes of leading lady Jillian Taylor will hypnotize and seduce you!

Bask (USA)
Progressive; heavy; psychedelic; americana, have all been used to describe Bask. They are four musicians based in Asheville North Carolina who love making music. They want rhythm heard for miles, melodies remembered for weeks and an honesty and sincerity felt to your bones. Most of all they want you to listen without concern for what you are hearing. To listen only for the sake of hearing.

Garcia (USA)
The original and legendary voice of the desert pays us a visit with a suitcase packed with everything from Kyuss to Slo Burn.
SUMA (SWE)
Doomy, sludgy and so heavy that the Berlin buildings will tremble for weeks after Malmös finest has destroyed all Desertfesters ears.
1000mods (GR)
The Greek tornado will hit us with their energetic and fuzz loaded rock, it’s gonna be a show that will be remembered.
Pontiak (USA)
We’ve been able to lure them away from Virginia to perform their trippy and psychedelic tunes, then they’ll take us on a trip for a lifetime.
Riff Fist (AUS)
It’s always a pleasure to welcome back who defends the riff and Riff Fist are the true defenders.
